The cold rolling mill for medium high carbon steel has very strong structure, high precision, heavy load features.

The cold rolling process accompanied with interim Spheroidizing annealing:

• cold rolling each pass up to 20%, each time up to 50%
• two or three times annealing in bell.
• final skin pass rolling

Rolling process analysis:

First rolling: 2.0→0.6 (about 70% off, 4-5passes rolling)

∮150／∮330／∮700x750 rough rolling, 110 -120m/min speed

First annealing

Second rolling: 0.6→0.22～0.3(about 50% off, even up to 60～70％)

Second annealing

Third rolling: 0.22→0.10

∮120／∮330／∮700x750 fine rolling, about 240m/min

For hardest high carbon steel, perhaps need third annealing and fourth rolling.

Control system:

Recoilers and Rolling mill DC motors are controlled by 6RA80 series DC driver, main channel adopt speed and electric current double closed loop structure, with given integrator, current pre-control functions, magnet excitation adopts potential and current double closed-loop structure.

S00 software package for recoiler DC driver can achieve tension control, recoiling diameter calculation and dynamic compensation.

The DC control system has good and reliable performance as well as best self-priority, motoring, self-diagnose, fast network functions.

The main mill control is speed control system, recoiler is speed control during threading and tension control during rolling(more exactly indirect tension control).
